Harvest Sensations names new president

Chris Coffman, a 20-year veteran of the produce industry, has been named president of Harvest Sensations, a leading specialty produce distributor based in Monterey, CA.

In his new role, Mr. Coffman is in charge of long-term strategic planning and business development for Harvest Sensations, which has offices in Los Angeles and Miami.

“One of the main reasons I accepted this position is that I love the specialty produce business and Harvest Sensations is so well positioned for growth,” Mr. Coffman said in an April 16 press release. “That’s a combination that’s hard to beat.”

Prior to joining Harvest Sensations, Mr. Coffman was chief executive officer of DF Holding, the parent company of Made in Nature LLC and Delicious Foods LLC. Earlier in his career, he held positions at Del Monte and Apio Inc.

“Having Chris on board is a great opportunity for us to take Harvest Sensations to the next level of customer support and culinary excellence,” Steve Grinstead, chief executive officer of Harvest Sensations, said in the press release. “His two decades of experience, his knowledge and his passion for the specialty side of the industry will be invaluable to our organization.”

A graduate of the University of California-Davis, with a degree in agricultural and managerial economics, Mr. Coffman is actively involved with the Organic Trade Association.
