Pure Flavor’s greenhouse vegetable plate will overflow at Fresh Summit

Pure Hothouse Foods Inc., a leading producer and distributor of greenhouse vegetables sold under the Pure Flavor brand, will be promoting its extensive line of greenhouse-grown vegetables at the 2017 PMA Fresh Summit in New Orleans.

Chris Veillon, chief marketing officer of the Leamington, ON-based company, said the emphasis at the event will be on its year-round offerings. The company will exhibit at booth No. 1635.PF-Mini Muchies-18Sept2017

“And we will be hosting chefs from Elite Personal Chefs at our booth,” said Veillon. “They will be preparing flavorful recipes featuring Pure Flavor’s premium greenhouse vegetables.”

In addition to samplings in the booth, the company will be handing out recipes and raw product.

“We will have a complete display of all the items that we grow and market, and in bulk and packaged options,” noted Veillon. “We also will be providing an interactive experience with our Mini Munchie program outside of the convention center to introduce the new snack-sized veggie brand to trade show attendees.”

Pure Flavor’s line of greenhouse products is extensive. At the booth, visitors can view the kid-themed six-ounce mini bags of snack-sized veggies, and it will be introducing another snack-sized format at the event.

“In addition to our complete line of snacking items, we’ll be featuring our Juno Bites Grape, Oriana Orange Grape, Bumbles Yellow Grape, Azuca Red Cherry and Marzanito Mini San Marzano tomatoes,” said Veillon. “We’ll also be promoting our Sangria Tomato Medley. Our sweet peppers, including our Aurora Bites Mini Sweet Peppers, will also be on display.”

Pure Flavor’s cucumber line, including Poco Bites Cocktail Cucumbers, will also be on hand at the Fresh Summit.

At the show, the company will also feature its complete line of certified organic items that are available 12 months a year.

Pure Hothouse Foods opened in 2003 with greenhouse experience dating back four generations. Within a year the company moved to a larger facility to accommodate its already growing customer base and demand.

It grew over the years, expanding into the United States. In 2011, the company was the winner of the Best New Vegetable at the United Fresh Show. In 2014, it was honored when NASA requested Pure Flavor’s Bell peppers for the international space station.

In 2015, the company expanded again with a new 60,000-square-foot distribution center in San Antonio, TX, to fill the demand from the southern United States.

“At the PMA Fresh Summit, we will of course display our full Pure Flavor conventional line of beefsteak, Roma, snacking, heirloom, specialty and on-the-vine tomatoes; colored Bell, long sweet and mini sweet peppers, long English, mini and cocktail cucumbers, purple, white, graffiti and Sicilian eggplants,” said Veillon.

In addition to Veillon, company representatives who will be at the Pure Hothouse Foods’ booth include Jamie Moracci, president; Matt Mastronardi, executive vice president; Jeff Moracci, chief financial officer; and several key account managers and other key team members.
