Cultivate ’17 keynoter is author Jon Gordon

Industry professionals from across the country will unite at Cultivate ’17 in Columbus, Ohio, July 15-18. Jon Gordon, best-selling author of numerous books including The Energy Bus, Training Camp, The No Complaining Rule, You Win in the Locker Room First, and more will be the keynote speaker.

Gordon is a graduate of Cornell University and holds a master’s degree in teaching from Emory University. “He and his training/consulting company are passionate about developing positive leaders, organizations and teams,” according to his website. He will teach attendees how to “discover the secrets for approaching life and work with the kind of positive, forward thinking that leads to accomplishment — at work and at home.”

Cultivate ’17 is an annual trade show, an education series, and a networking event that condenses knowledge, resources, ideas, new products, new varieties and trends for all horticulture/floriculture professionals. There will be over 100 educational sessions including topics such as “Work Smarter, Not Harder With Better Technology,” “Marketing Strategies With Real ROI,” and “Making Cents of It All,” and many more.

Last year, attendees at Cultivate ‘16 came from 34 countries and represented all 50 U.S. states, totaling nearly 10,000 visitors. Over half of those attending Cultivate are major decision makers in their company and 20 percent made purchases onsite, while 505 percent left with the intention to purchase in the next six months, according to the association’s website.

“Cultivate ’17 is the industry event that brings the entire professional community together to make an even greater impact,” said Ken Fisher, AmercanHort president and chief executive officer, in a news release.
