New education session added to WF&FSA Floral Distribution Conference

The Wholesale Florist & Florist Supplier Association is adding a new educational session to its Floral Distribution Conference to help wholesalers turn their supply departments into profit centers, according to a news release. On Oct. 19 from 3:30-5 p.m., there will be a panel discussion about wholesale supply departments as profit centers rather than just accommodations for customers.

Six industry experts will provide an insider look into how novelty supply sales can diversify wholesalers’ business model and increase profits.

Attendees during this bonus session will be able to ask detailed questions to learn more about the supply side of the business. Panelists include:

* Darin Dewberry, sales manager at Pete Garcia Group in Atlanta, GA.

* Tom Figueroa, vice president Michigan at Nordlie, Inc. in Detroit.

* Kristine Kratt, owner at Schaffer Designs in Philadelphia.

* Laurie Nesbitt, president at Florists Supply, Ltd. in Winnipeg, Canada.

* Alex Shibata, manager/buyer at Mt. Eden Floral Co. in San Francisco.

* Nick Fronduto, chief operating officer at Jacobson Floral Supply, Inc. in Boston, MA – moderator.
