New Chrysal Bag-in-a-Box packaging is eco-friendly and user-friendly

Chrysal has introduced its new eco-friendly Professional 2 Bag-in-a-Box, which contains 70 percent less plastic than its blue containers, according to a news release.

BAG-IN-A-BOX It consists of two parts — a soft plastic liner and a fully branded protective carton — making it easy to separate and to dispose of. Once empty, you simply compress the plastic lining and dispose of the cardboard carton in the recycling bin.

Chrysal Professional 2 is a floral water conditioner that reduces flower waste by an average of 50 percent and also reduces water usage, giving you a longer distribution and sales period. It can be used for all cut flowers — with the exception of Anthurium —and is suitable for use in cold storage, transport and retail environments.

Using Professional 2 keeps flowers and foliage in optimum condition up to 50 percent longer compared to water alone.

It also stimulates water uptake, thus preventing bent-neck, and lowers the pH of water. You can re-use the solution up to five days, so you don’t need to change water and clean buckets as frequently; saving you both time and money.

The Professional 2 Bag-in-a-Box is available in a 20-liter size and has a shelf life of 18 months in sealed packaging under correct storage conditions.

Both the new packaging and the Professional 2 conditioner are recent sustainable innovations by Chrysal that can help florists take better care of our planet.
