‘Discover’ AIFD’s National Symposium

The American Institute of Floral Designers 51st annual National Symposium, “Discover” will gather at the historical Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. June 30-July 4. New this year at the five-day floral design education event will be four education tracks encompassing all areas; Inspire Creative Sessions; Impact Business Sessions; and Innovative Hands-On Workshops, according to a news release.

The four education tracks include traditional retail florists, mass-market retailers, wedding & event studios and field-to-vase florists. Each track will provide unique programming with inspirational and informational ideas covering design trends, techniques, and must-have products.

Ten Inspire Creative Sessions will present educational breakout programs with cutting edge design ideas paired with practical applications.

Eight informative Impact Business Sessions are geared to help you cultivate and expand your businesses.

A total of nine Innovative Hands-On Workshops are being offered covering the industry’s hottest topics taught by leading experts.

For those who want to arrive early, additional educational opportunities await you starting June 29.

Eight main stage events will feature educational programs spotlighting floral artists sharing their passions on a variety of trendsetting topics. In addition to the education programming, AIFD will host the FTD America’s Cup competition where four talented finalists will compete for the title of America’s representative to the 2019 FTD-Interflora-Fleurop World Cup Design Competition.
