Key additions to Duncan Family Farms' executive team

Duncan Family Farms, a leading family-owned, multi-regional grower of over 7,000 acres of certified organic produce, announced that Will Feliz has returned to the firm as president and Ryan Borer has joined as chief financial officer.dunc

Arnott Duncan, co-founder and chief executive officer, said the appointments will accelerate the company’s growth and help it achieve its strategic objectives. "Will and Ryan bring significant experience and talent to the Duncan team and will help lead us in achieving our goal to improve our triple bottom line — profit, people and planet."

Feliz is a veteran of the produce industry, with over 30 years working for small, mid- and Fortune 500-size produce companies. He originally joined Duncan Family Farms in 2009 and was promoted to president in January 2016. In November 2017, Feliz became CEO of Wawona Packing, and was responsible for their strategic growth initiatives. Now back at Duncan Family Farms, his focus is on guiding the strategic plan, developing new business channels and exemplifying the company’s defining values to employees, customers and stakeholders.

"I’m very excited to return to Duncan Family Farms," said Feliz. "The culture and environment here are invigorating, epitomized by our vision, which is to be the best farming company with a soul, where people are proud to work and our partners and neighbors are quick to embrace."

Borer brings more than a dozen years of experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, and financial planning and analysis as Duncan’s new chief financial officer. Most recently, Borer was senior manager, corporate accounting for Shamrock Foods.

"Duncan Family Farms has the perfect blend of solid strategic and financial growth plans, combined with a culture that is taking positive actions to develop our people, contribute to our community and protect our environment," said Borer. "I’m excited to get to come to work every day with this group of quality, caring people."

"As Duncan Family Farms has grown into one of the largest 100 percent organic farming operations in the country, with operations in Arizona, California, Oregon and New York, we have proven you can build a successful business operation while producing clean, life-giving food and making strong contributions to an improved environment and the communities we serve. Adding Will and Ryan to our executive team will enable us to continue on this trajectory," said Duncan.
