Florida Classic Growers welcomes Derek Rodgers

floridaclassic DUNDEE, FL — Florida Classic Growers Inc. is expanding its sales team with the addition of Derek Rodgers.

Rodgers brings over 14 years of experience in the produce industry, with the last seven being in Florida citrus. In addition to his work experience, Rodgers has been connected to Florida citrus his entire life through his family's involvement in the industry.

Rodgers graduated from Webber International University summa cum laude with a degree in marketing.

The addition of Rodgers comes during a time of change for Florida Classic Growers as the company embarks on its new partnership with Riverfront Packing Co. LLC, The Packers of Indian River Inc. and Quality Fruit Packers Inc.

"We are very excited to add Derek to the Florida Classic Growers family," Al Finch, president of Florida Classic Growers, said in a July 28 press release. "Adding someone with his knowledge and experience demonstrates our continued commitment to the future of the Florida citrus industry."
